What is RAID diving

RAID is one of the fastest growing SCUBA diving agencies in the world. RAID began in 2007 by concentrating on improving professional technical- and rebreather dive training. Introducing the same training methods to recreational diving means that even at Open Water level safer diving techniques are a compulsory parts of the course.
RAID makes full use of IT technology and produced an elaborate online learning system. This means no books, no carbon footprint and no certification cards that are easily lost and expensive to replace. It also means that RAID students and alumni have a life long access to their own profile containing their certifications and dive logs. Also any updates in the theoretical material will be available free of charge.
RAID also believes that, even though the theory is very important, spending more time in the water will produce better and safer divers. By concentrating on the knowledge and skills required for each course, the theory is simpler and far less time consuming allowing RAID to set higher minimum standards for training in the water.
RAID courses are very ‘bespoke’, thorough, yet relaxed, and as such, take a little longer to complete.”
