Richard’s Supper Stage and Bistro

A brand new restaurant has been opened by Richard Loring and Roland Seidel in Sea point name Richard’s Supper Stage & bistro. It is boasting the fact that it has a direct view of Robben island.

Richards bar is decorated with photos and show names from all his shows he performed in and directed over the last 50 years. All the photos and memorabilia take you down memory lane.
Included in the price is a 3 course meal. The starter is served to the tables, the main course is served as a buffet where you to get a plate and decide what of the local dishes you would like. If you are up to it you can have a taste of all the lovely dishes like vegetable breyani, chicken curry and potato bake(my favourite) just to name a few. Dessert at the end of the night is also served at the tables and you get a sample of all the local deserts like koeksusters, melk tert and malva pudding.
In between the courses the show goes on with singing and acting all around you. The show they have staged at the moment is called Kaapse stories where they share some historical facts about South Africa and Cape Town. The idea with the actors interacting with the guest is great and it makes you feel part of the show.

Parking is not an issue which is normally the case in town as across the road sea point library is situated with ample parking at the back.

Definitely worth a visit and if you are not keen for a show just supper will also be very enjoyable.
